selling some random extras after combining mine and a friend’s toolbox, I’ve no idea how much I should charge, and craigslist pricing is all over the place so it’s no help.

Kinja'd!!!

List of crap:

- Wagner Power Painter. 2 Speed, 1800 PSI (includes carrying case)
- Black & Decker Drill - Fire Storm 9.6v (includes charger, and carrying case)
- Black & Decker power jigsaw, 3.5amp
- Buffalo Tools 12v drill (includes charger)
- Black & Decker Wizard rotary tool (includes charger)
- Skil Warrior 3/8 VSR Cordless Drill (includes charger)
- 6v Cordless Screwdriver (powered by AA batteries)
- Car cigarette lighter powered work light
- Rooster tool belt
- Calterm wire stripper and crimper
- Metric and imperial allen wrenches (3 smaller sets imperial, 1 larger set imperial, 2 smaller sets metric)
- 17 Imperial wrenches - various sizes
- 17 Metric wrenches - various sizes
- 2 Socket wrenches - includes various size sockets and adapters

so how much per item and/or for the lot? and/or anyone local (denver) want some tools and feel like throwing small bills or favours my way?

You should know better than to get rid of tools.

I've never gotten rid of a handtool willingly, although that's probably why I have a tool chest, two tool boxes, and a tool bag full.

Have you confirmed that the chargers work and that the batteries hold a sufficient charge? I’m in the middle of trying to determine that myself with an old drill I’m looking to get rid of...

Best are extra wrenches. Possibly the most useful tool out there if you also have a hacksaw, hammer and grinder. Bonus, welder.

For those tight spaces where you need another, specialized tool. 5 minutes with some kind of cutting tool and “FUCK YOU [INSERT GERMAN BRAND HERE]”

yes, charged them all, all function. to be honest no idea how long they hold charge, as I didn’t use them for extended time.

I sorted through and made sure I had two of all the handtools pictured. that’s two in my toolchest and the 1 for sale :D

would feel a tool (pun intended) if I sold all these then found I needed two wrenches to get a damn nut and bolt off

THIS..........

throw all the hand tools in a bag, in the car........ you can always purpose those tools for specific jobs by bending them....... or welding them.......

I’d list the lot for $100/$150

you’re doing it wrong. Never, ever, get rid of tools. Buy more tool boxes instead.

Old cheapie (yes I consider Black and Decker cheapie) cordless power tools in functioning shape are usually $20 or less. You’ll get quick sales of you put them up for $15 and take the first $10 somebody offers you. Assuming the wrenches are no-name, then probably the same price.

Purging tools is a good thing, don’t listen to thise telling you to keep it all :)

I’d probably list them for $15 per kit, or maybe $20 and see if anyone bites.

Especially the wrenches. You can never have enough extra wrenches.

Sockets next. Then Allan keys.

I’m with you, cheapie ones are going because I am keeping to good ones with a single shared battery type so I don’t have a wall of 82 different charger types.

I just cant stand clutter, not do I condone just throwing things away.

and they are always extra wrenches, until they are not. its a cold feeling, when you go to look for a specific wrench and its just not there....... or you go to loosen a nut, and you feel the guts in the ratchet give it up..........

but yeah, ESPECIALLY the wrenches. you can grind on those, and MAKE them work in some otherwise hopeless spots........

Yep! I’m the same way. I’ll off them cheap on Craigslist just to be rid of them. I’d probably sell that jog saw for $5.

no, i getcha........ i just know how it is where i work, when some kid will have their heap of a car broken or leaking out back, and you go and look at it, and you tell them “yeah, just tighten those bolts, and you should be fine”...... “got any tools?”, and you watch them dig around forever to come up with MAYBE a crescent, or pair of vice grips........

sold a couple of “usable” sets of tools like that......

I would think it would depend on the brand of the wrenches, Cobalt vs Craftsman vs S&K (cheap to real nice) would determine what I would expect to pay.
